School is finally over for most people, and that means fun, fun, fun!
Did I end school today? No. I finished school last Friday afternoon. It would of been much better if people did not talk so I could of finish my final in peace! Also in my graphic arts class, nobody was listening to me! No one ever listens-. *Ahem* Sorry about that! My school played "School's Out" over the intercom. That was a terrible idea since you could hear the static from the microphone. Unlike most, I did not have people sign my yearbook (Since nobody seems to do that at my school anymore). I just wanted to get the heck out of that place. Too much hugs and kissing going around.
Summer is what I've have been waiting for since school started. (Sorry this post is a month late. I forgot to publish it)

Friday....
Sorry for the long absence. Last week I came down with a cold and wasn't in the mood to do anything and this week I had to study for my APUSH exam (Which is now finished! Yes :D).
This Friday afternoon is filled with rain, which is a burden since I wanted to swing outside or go to the park. I have little to do right now other than maybe taking a nap (or not). I'm completely bored and have no idea what to do......
Maybe I should do my homwork? Pff! It's Friday!

Short Post of the Week: Mistaken Age
2 Fridays ago I was at my two sisters' dance performance at her school. It is an annual thing they do, and that Friday I had school off. It was a nice performance. After, we were going to pick up my sister. A lady walks up to me and says,
It was very kind of the lady to thank me. There is just a few problems.
This is an elementary school and I'm in 10th grade.
I thought I looked young but not 11 year old young.
Even a girl at school agreed I looked like a 5th grader.
Hey? I guess its a good thing in some perspective.
Haha *sigh*

Another Update Post!
As of today, I have been thinking of opening my own webiste just for video. I might have 3 short films shot before school finishes in early June and I would like to put them somewhere. Overall, I just want a place to put my work. For blogger it is very hard because you can only create one post with the other pages. I don't want to open another blog because I don't like keeping up with both of them. I have a livejournal it is hard to update often.
My second update is that starting this summer I might be writing my posts in other languages. They won't be entirely in a different language, but there will be bits. I really want to practice my foreign languages. By the way, I am learning French and Japanese. I do know a little Spanish, but don't see me using it since I barely remember anything.
My last update is that I will soon get photoshop (Hopefully CS5) for my PC. I also might get dreamweaver. It might take a few weeks though.
I'm sorry I haven't gotten around to posting more. It will be harder because my APUSH exam is coming up the first week of May so I need to study. After that, I will get more into blogging, short films, design, and maybe vlogging which I have always wanted to do.
Have a good day!
-Meghan :)

What? There's a Sophomore Prom?
As I was staring into space in my AP US History class today, I heard my classmates talk about prom. A senior in my class ask the girls next to me if they were going to prom, and they said no. The problem is, the girls next to me are sophomores. I was curious whether or not our school had a prom for sophomores.
Apparently, there indeed is a prom for sophomores at my school. Maybe I'm wrong, but they say there is.
For me, I don't want to go. I don't want to spend the money and I really hate going to the school's social events. Another factor is I would have no one to go with. The people I would consider going with aren't going. I probably would be the only one there alone. Besides, why do sophomores need a prom? Gosh! I'd rather be home studying!
The truth is, I really dislike these types of events. There is so much money put into this! The people planning the prom and the people attending. How much does a girl spend on prom? I know many of them buy (or I hear rent?) a dress, do there hair, nails, makeup, and whatever! Maybe its just me, but I don't care about what I look like. Don't get me wrong, I do care about what I look like but I don't take 2 to 3 hours to get ready. Maybe I just don't get it.

(I saw at least 10-12 of these on Saturday)
Lots of people rent limos. My siblings and I have a tradition or "calling" limos or "slug bugs" as they come past us. We have to name the type of car, the color, the license plate state, and sometimes the car maker. My younger sister says, "No punch backs!" which I have no idea what that means. Isn't it neat to go in a limo. (Unless you ride in one all the time, then it probably gets boring). I'm used to the black and white limos. Nowadays I see Pink limos. My youngest sister gets so jealous! :D
Sometimes I do feel like I'm missing out on something, but other times I wished I would move on in high school. It is just 4 years. Yes, it is one of our last years before heading off on our own, but isn't school mostly about learning? Maybe it was how I was raised... School is for learning, not for unrelated activities. (Its probably due to the lack of outgoing friends who want to do everything.) I don't know, I wished they had more education opportunities!
Anyway, how does prom work at your school? Are you going this year?
(Like my sister said in this one video!) Peace, love, and happiness!
Meghan! :D

The First Day of April
Hello everybody!
Well, it's the first day of April. I can tell by the looks of the weather that sun may be on our way. (Well, me in Oregon). I went to the park today expecting a couple of people, but what I saw was a crowd of little kids and their parents. I nicely gave up my swing for a little girl who kept staring at me and I watched as all the little kids ran around. I remember the days when I played tagged........
Wait, I never played tag. APRIL FOOLS! (Sorry, I just had to add that in.)
School for me this year has not been how I have thought it would be. First of all, I have been lazy ever since the first week of school. My grades are near low As high Bs when I'm used to middle to high As. Yes, school gets harder but I am not trying my absolute best.
Second, I get tired way too easily. Can't concentrate....
Third,I think people despise me even more. (Especially those freshmen who stare at me like I'm some sort of hideous creature). I do not understand why people avoid me in the first place. I'm not a scary person. As I walk into the school, I lower my head in shame. I'm afraid that people will judge me. Their judgemental ways have made me feel bad about myself. Inside I am crying wishing to talk to someone who will accept me. Today in math, I felt like if I laugh others would just stare. They would stare and wonder why I would laugh.
Do I deserve to laugh at others' jokes not meant toward me? I have ears, eyes, and emotions. I can hear what they say about me. How I'm weird and don't dress "well". I can see them staring at me. I prevent the tears from coming out until after I leave the bus. My heart cries out for acceptance, but all I ever get is ignorance and glares from girls who think they are all that. The boys can't even see me.....
.....Not many people can.......
I'm just a figure, a motionless figure. I don't do anything but fill space. I sometimes think to myself, "Am I a joke to these people?" I remember a month ago I was standing in the lunch line. I was minding my own business. I realized a boy pointing a me. Their eyes all look in my direction. Usually people talk about someone past me, so I look around. They comment about how I was "hot" or whatever and started laughing. I looked away in embarrasement. A little after, I realized after they were just a bunch of immature freshmen. Though, I shouldn't be making fun of them just because they were freshmen. Last year, a trio of junior/senior boys made fun of my glasses. That moment, my friend asked me what they were saying. (She doesn't know much english). I didn't tell her....
I dislike my school, as you can tell. I'd hear about all the stuck up, rich kids who are only friends with people who were like that also. They are not all bad, but it isn't easy to avoid these people. I tell my parents, my counselors, and to anyone who is willing to talk to me that I try to treat everyone equally and not look down upon anyone. It is hard, very hard....
As of now, typing in my room, I would like to say have a good day! Other than the life of mine I told you about, I did start my Japanese class. I received a textbook yesterday and couldn't stop skimming the pages... Haha! :D
Have a great April!

Day at the Park
Because of boredom and the fact I had to take pictures for my class, I went to the local park. I had to bring my sister along, mostly because when I told her I didn't want her to come she started to scream. My mom lended me her camera to take my pictures. I took some other pictures because of my boredom.

I saw these trees with pink flowers on them. Don't know if they are cherry blossoms are not, but they are pretty.

After about an hour at the park, we left for home. We only live about 10 minutes away walking distance. When I got home I got on here and will eventually continue with my quilt.

What I Did Today....
Today I did a lot, probably the most fun all of this week! I went to Oaks Park which is this type of amusement park outside of Downtown Portland (You can see some tall buildings from the bridge).
On Friday (Yesterday), we did go but it closed just as we got there and my sister started to cry.
Today, we went around 2 which is probably the busiest time to go. I roller skated at the rink. The last time I went roller skating was a couple of years ago at the rink they had in Eugene. I am a decent skater, but not the best. Luckily, I didn't have to skate by the wall. (I did practice to stop and turn around and that was the only time I used the wall). I wanted to learn the, what is it called? Turnovers, front step? I forgot, but it is when you turn and you put your feet over each other. My dad tried to teach me it years ago, and I was ok. The difference between here and Eugene is that there are less people in Eugene. It was crowded so it was hard to practice without bumping into someone. I'm not good with steering around people because I fear falling and wobble while passing a person.
During one part they separated skaters by age and gender. I was afraid since I'm not the fastest skater or the most skilled one. (I'm a beginner, so). I tried to skate as fast as I could but it only made me go so far. I watched as these other girls would speed past me. I guess I should build up my muscle to get faster.
I did fall a lot and I do have a bruise (and a sore ankle). I left just before the park closed.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I recently have wanted to start learning how to make my own clothing.I went to this store, and they had a ton of fabric. I couldn't find any clothing patterns, which disappointed me. I, instead, am going to start making a quilt. (Which is probably good for a beginner). I had a hard time choosing from the fabric. What do you expect? There is over 100 types of fabric patterns! (Oh, the possibilities). The lady at the department helped us, which was great since she knew what she was talking about. In conclusion, I got a basic sewing set with scissors and pins. I also got my patterns. I decided I wanted to make my quilt a "cutesy, girly pink" type of quilt. I chose between that and the florals. I just seem to adore cute things. The backing of my quilt was very expensive for 3 1/2 yards! Oh well, hopefully the final product will look nice. My aunt paid for it and she wants to see the final product too. (My sister also got a pillow set and is going to make her own pillow. I made a pillow during girl scouts, and I finished way ahead of the other girls. Now, that's a different story itself). I will also show you my quilt once I'm finished with it. It might take me a couple weeks, maybe even a couple months to finish. With finishing school and my AP test coming up in a month, I will be busy. I will take my time because I want it to look nice and I don't want to waste my aunt's money. (Who doesn't?)
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
For the rest of the night I just ate at the spaghetti factory. I like how the restaurant in Downtown Portland is by the river side. As we were going there my mom noticed how many buildings they had put up since we first started eating at the spaghetti factory years ago. There used to be nothing! Oh, how time changes! There, they had a balloon sculpting (or whatever you call them) guy. In fact, I myself know how to make a balloon animal! I can make a dog, an elephant, and a.... SNAKE! Haha! I guess I should keep practicing. :)
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Anyway, I hope all you school attending pupils had or will have a great spring break! I'm not in the mood to go back to school on Monday since I do have a quiz. I guess school might get better. I did get accepted into the National Honors Society (Like many students at my school). I also might take Japanese! My life can be spontaneous.

Spring Break

This spring break I hopefully will be going to California. My dad is trying to convince my mom to drive us down to Los Angeles for the week. For a couple of times, she has refused. I seriously want to go to California rather than stay home all week. If I do stay in Oregon, THAT IS ALL I WILL BE DOING! I want to do many types of act ivies while I am in California, one of them includes going to the beach. I know that Oregon has beaches, but they are cold and windy. Don't get me wrong, they are beautiful and clean, but I prefer to lie on the warm sand. I want to make a sand castle real bad! :D I also want to try to get into a taping of a TV show in Hollywood. Unfortunately, you have to reserve for it months in advanced. I'll do the best I can though. I will also get to see my dad's new boat! It is two stories and I have only seen it in pictures. Anyway, what are you guys doing for Spring Break? Are you working or going on vacation? camp? Nothing?? I'd like to know what you are going to do! :)

Tiredsome

I have been very tired lately, don't know why. Maybe its because I have so much homework? No. I started playing tennis. Sadly, no. I stay up too late on a school night. Well, maybe. Whatever the case, it has been affecting my ability to concentrate at school. This is a problem especially since I have math at the end of the day. My eyes slowly close and my body turns down, but it is two o'clock in the afternoon! Anything, the real reason is probably due to the fact my iron level is low. Someone (me) hasn't been taking their medicine. Ugh, I know! "TAKE YOUR MEDICINE!" Maybe I would if I woke up earlier. Maybe I should go to bed earlier...... I wonder......................

A Day in the Snow
Today was unexpected when I actually saw snow outside my window. The night before I could hardly sleep due to the fact that I was nervous about whether or not I would have school. Lets just say I'm "calm and collective" right now. Yes, I still have my math homework to do, but its just twenty or so problems. haha
I went on an hour walk around my town, and just to let you know it was just like any typical walk I go on. As you might have guessed if you have read my old blog, I rarely ever put any pictures of my actual life. Well, I felt in the mood to show some pictures. Yes, I do not have as much snow as you would have thought. In actuality, just a little more than this amount of snow can cancel school. (Which it did).
So what did I do? I walked, went to the park, then to Starbucks.
When I go for walks, I always have to go to the small local park. Why? I have things on my mind, that's why. I swing for about fifteen to twenty minutes while I listen to my IPOD. My brother always makes fun of me for swinging while listening to my IPOD. It isn't any different then what I normally do on swings. Think Because I can relax while swinging, I imagine of an imaginary world or certain situations I can get into. Please don't get me started about what they are about.
I headed off to Starbucks after I sat at the park. Starbucks rarely makes my hot chocolate as hot as I want it. Hot, not medium- hot. I am picky, but so is the rest of my family. Both my parents have thrown away a drink because it was terribly made.(I did not know what was wrong with it due to the fact I never drink coffee). Yes, what a waste of money. It is so hard with prices going up these days.
That was it for me. I had nothing else to do. I went back to my house. During the time of my walk, I felt something. I realized I was walking alone while others had someone around them to talk to. My classmates I saw wouldn't even look at me. (I live in a small town). It is very hard these days for me,especially with the dramatic increase of insults I get from people. I wonder what others think of me, but in reality I should not care what they think. Being human, it is hard not to ignore what people say about us. I guess we have to live through it all.
Currently noon, I write this post. Hopefully I can get more pictures for you to see. I'm not a "photo person", more of a "film person". I prefer to make movies then to take pictures. I plan on making videos in the near future. Don't know if I'm going to post them on here or on my YouTube channel. I'll tell you otherwise. Anyway, have a nice day. Hopefully I'll get going on my math homework......

First Impressions

First Impressions They are important in how people view you. They are extremely important in an interview for a job. Recently, I talked to my mom about this subject. First impressions can tell someone who we are with just a few minutes. They can be good, but also bad. How can they be bad? Lets say you are applying for a job or having a college interview. (Something on the lines of that). You act in a manor which is unappealing to the person you are talking with. They apparently find no interest in you whatsoever, so you don't get into the college or the job. First impressions also apply to meeting people. I've made many mistakes on talking to people for the first time. One thing is I talk way too much about my problems and how, "I never do anything." I should be more interested in what the other person is talking about rather than just thinking about myself. It isn't bad to talk about yourself, but if you are only talking about yourself than you have a problem. There is another problem with first impressions. They can deal with how you look also. If you are dirty or don't seems to dress nice, people might label you as a slob. I really dislike judging someone by how they look, but that is how society works these days. It relates to me in high school. People at my school tend to talk to the person who dresses in the nicest clothes and is well put together in appearance. If you are sloppy in the way you dress, then people back off. The "sloppy" person could be a nicer person then the other. That is how I feel. I don't have the best sense of style, but I do try to dress casual. But hey, that is how high school kids are. Anyway, first impressions can be very important in business and in your social life. Hopefully we can make a good one.
